Hours: 9:00 -1:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Cost: $50 due upon registration to hold your spot. $397 registration
Location: Christian Life Preparatory School, 5253 Altamesa Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76123
Limit: 15 students (min of 4 students required)
Grades: Best for 7th-10th grades, but not limited.
Deadline for enrollment: June 25, 2019.

Overview
Each day the instructor will introduce one invention skill, one organization skill, and one stylistic skill. During the final hour of each day, students will write an essay implementing their new skills. The instructor will provide feedback daily. Each evening for homework, students will write another essay for the next day of class.

Organization: Basic Paragraph structure
Style: audience determines diction
Tuesday
Invention: Relationships: Comparison
Organization: Hinrich’s paragraph structure
Style: Strong Subjects: Eliminating deadwood
Wednesday
Invention: Relationships: Cause and Effect
Organization: Thesis statements and Five Claims
Style: Brush Strokes (Killgallon) using multiple phrases and clauses in one sentence.
Thursday
Invention: Testimony (quotes, case studies, etc.)
Organization: Six-part classical argument structure
Style: Direct Quotations
Friday
Revision Strategies
Editing Strategies
Presentation Strategies
Presentations of best essays
